Zoë Jones-Walton

Policy Fellow for Child Protection 

Zoë Jones-Walton joined the Texans Care for Children team in 2022 as the Policy Fellow for Child Protection. In her role, Zoë advances policies to support a cross-systems approach to improving access and quality of services available to children and youth in foster care and the juvenile justice system. 

Paired with her lived experience in the Texas foster care system, Zoë has been heavily involved in child welfare advocacy since May 2018. She has worked and partnered with many nonprofits, including FosterClub, Casey Family Programs, NFYI, NYTD, Texas Alliance for Child and Family Services and Change 1. In 2021, Zoë worked behind the scenes with TACFS to disperse pandemic relief funds to about 4,000 former Texas foster youth. Zoë obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice and a minor in Political Science at Sam Houston State University in 2020. 

In her free time, Zoë enjoys live music, meditation and spending time with her loved ones. She is a huge sports fan and loves to attend Dallas Cowboys and Dallas Mavericks games.
