Development Director – Annual Giving

Lauren Adams joined the Texans Care for Children team as Development Director – Annual Giving in 2021. Lauren is a seasoned leader in the non-profit sector with experience in project management, donor stewardship, special events, and relationship building. 

Previous to Texans Care for Children, Lauren worked for The Contemporary Austin during its formative years, reshaping the membership department and rebuilding their robust events cycle. Lauren has also worked with Ballet Austin, Fusebox Festival, and the American Heart Association, focusing on individual donors, corporate support, public awareness, and special events. Lauren is dedicated to implementing positive change and creating deeper relationships with donors, stakeholders, and volunteers. 

Lauren is active in the community outside of work, volunteering for many years with Austin Pets Alive! and serving on the board of the Young Women’s Alliance and the Girls Empowerment Network. She is an enthusiastic cook who enjoys travel as equally as time at home with close friends and family. Lauren has a bachelor’s degree from Valparaiso University and a master’s degree from the University of Glasgow.
