Health and Safety Protocols for Our Founder’s Award Luncheon on April 8th

Texans Care for Children’s highest priority remains the health and safety of our community. Now more than ever, we each must behave responsibly and respectfully to one another, especially in consideration of children under 5, who are not yet vaccine-eligible, as well as any immune-compromised members of the community.

With this in mind, we have taken enhanced health and safety measures — for you, our other guests, the hotel staff, and our staff. Please follow all posted instructions while attending our Founder’s Award Luncheon on April 8th.

Texans Care for Children requests that all Luncheon guests be fully vaccinated OR have obtained a negative COVID-19 test result within 72 hours (3 days) of the event date. The final vaccine must be dated at least 14 days prior to the Luncheon. Rapid and PCR tests are both accepted.

Additionally, masks are recommended at all times except while actively eating or drinking.

Any interaction with the general public poses an inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19. COVID-19 is an extremely contagious disease that can lead to severe illness and death, and people who show no symptoms can spread COVID-19 if they are infected. The CDC advises that older adults and people of any age who have underlying medical conditions are especially vulnerable to severe illness from COVID-19. By attending the Founder’s Award Luncheon, you voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19.

As always, the health and safety of you, and that of our staff, are our top priority. Texans Care for Children follows the guidance and recommendations of the CDC and health experts. We will continue to monitor and revise protocols as needed as we get closer to the event.

Let’s help keep each other healthy and safe.
