A total of 172 Texas organizations have signed on to a statement urging the Legislature to support HB 12 by Rep. Toni Rose. The bill extends health coverage for moms to a full year after pregnancy.
The statement includes business groups, health care providers, faith-based groups, women’s organizations, advocates for children, and other Texas groups. A complete list of the organizations is available here:
There is growing momentum for the bill, with Governor Abbott, Speaker Phelan, and others recently endorsing the policy and urging the Legislature to support it.
