
As the US House of Representatives prepares to vote on the budget reconciliation bill, 68 Texas organizations are urging members of Congress to vote no on the legislation because of it includes deep Medicaid cuts.
The letter, delivered to each Representative from Texas, warns lawmakers, “By cutting Medicaid, the budget reconciliation bill would put the lives and livelihoods of all Texans at risk.”
The letter was signed by leading voices representing the faith, medical, hospital, patient, long-term care and consumer communities in Texas.
