Panel Discussion: What Texas Can Learn from Promising Bipartisan Child Care Policies in Other States

The child care crisis poses a huge challenge for Texas parents, kids, employers, and child care providers.

As Texas leaders consider ways to address the crisis during the next legislative session, we would like to invite you to join us for our upcoming webinar:

What Texas Can Learn from Promising Bipartisan Child Care Policies in Other States:

A Panel Discussion

Thursday, October 17th, 2:00-3:00 pm

Throughout Texas and the nation, Republican and Democratic leaders are taking action to address the child care crisis. As Texas leaders prepare for the upcoming legislative session, Texans Care for Children will host a moderated panel discussion with policy leaders in Republican-led states to learn more about the stories behind the state-level progress made to expand access to high-quality child care for working families. These leaders will discuss why their states took on this issue, describe the policies or funding their state passed, and provide an update on the benefits that have happened since.

For background on this discussion, we invite you to read our policy brief on ways that red states are addressing child care, our policy brief on steps the Legislature can take on child care, and our testimony on the Texas Workforce Commission’s recent budget request.

We look forward to seeing you in a few weeks!
