Texans Care for Children submitted the following comments to federal health officials regarding Texas' request to extend federal hospital funding for uncompensated care (UC) under the 1115 Medicaid Waiver.
Our comments expressed support for upholding transparency and public comment rules in the application process, continuing the funding for Texas hospitals and mental health providers, extending the funding for three to five years rather than ten, and broadening the funding plan to include health coverage for uninsured Texas adults.
