Senior External Relations Associate

Stephanie Hernandez joined Texans Care for Children in 2023 as Senior External Relations Associate. In that role, she coordinates policy briefings and other events, supports the Hogg Mental Health Academy, and plays a leadership role on other projects.

Prior to joining Texans Care for Children, Stephanie spent over 15 years working as an executive assistant or in similar roles. Stephanie served as Executive Assistant to the Chief Operating Officer of Ascension Texas; Executive Assistant to the Chief Medical Officer at CommunityCare; and Assistant to the Chief Police at the Austin Police Department. She is actively involved in the community through a number of organizations, including the Greater Austin Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, the National Latino Law Enforcement Organization, and the Hispanic Women’s Network of Texas.
