Director of Research and Evaluation

Chelsea joined Texans Care for Children as the Director of Research and Evaluation in 2023. She is responsible for the design and implementation of our research and evaluation portfolio, including collection and analysis of quantitative and qualitative data on public policy and child well-being as well as evaluation of our organizational impact. Prior to joining Texans Care for Children, Chelsea supported various organizations in Central Texas with the evaluation of their products, programs, and policies aimed to improve the well-being of children and caregivers. For six years, she worked at the Austin Independent School District, where she evaluated district wide initiatives such as bilingual education, family engagement, school climate, social and emotional learning, and AISD’s participation in the National Assessment of Educational Progress. Chelsea holds a PhD in Developmental Psychology from the University of Texas at Austin.
