The Texans Care for Children staff will discuss what the Legislature accomplished for kids, where legislators fell short, and what comes next. The discussion will address the Legislature's policy and budget decisions regarding early learning, children's mental health, child protection (including foster care and child abuse prevention), and maternal and child health.
UPDATE: Ursula Park, former director of the Legislative Budget Board, will also join us to provide an update on how children fared in the state budget this session.
