The Texas Child Protection Roundtable, including Texans Care for Children, sent the following letter to Governor Abbott and other state leaders outlining 12 steps the state should take to continue critical Child Protective Services (CPS) and foster care operations, prevent child abuse and neglect, and address other child welfare challenges amid the coronavirus pandemic.
The Roundtable is the state’s leading convener of multi-disciplinary organizations engaged in child welfare and well-being advocacy, research, and action.
