A conference committee of five Texas Senate members and five Texas House members, in collaboration with Lt. Governor Dan Patrick and House Speaker Dennis Bonnen, is currently working to finalize the state budget for the next two years. In particular, the conference committee is tasked with working out the differences between the budget bill passed by the Senate and the budget bill passed by the House.
