We're pleased to invite you to join us on Thursday, November 1st at 9:30 am in Austin for our next Children's Policy Series meeting:

How Will Texas Kids Fare in the Next Legislative Session?
A Stakeholder Discussion on 2019 Legislative Priorities for Texas Kids

With the next state legislative session coming soon, this meeting is an opportunity for advocates and other stakeholders to hear about state budget opportunities and challenges, share their 2019 children’s policy priorities, hear what others are planning, and explore ways to collaborate.

The meeting agenda includes:

  • Presentation on what you need to know about the next biennial state budget by Eva DeLuna Castro of the Center for Public Policy Priorities (CPPP)

  • Overview of major children’s budget issues of the next session by Stephanie Rubin of Texans Care for Children

  • Opportunity for attendees to briefly share highlights of the key children’s policy priorities they will be working on in the months ahead

  • Small group discussions to delve deeper into the issues and explore opportunities to collaborate
