Texans Care for Children will lead a panel discussion on key children's issues facing the Texas Legislature in 2017. The panel will be followed by lunch and the release of CHILDREN AT RISK's new policy report on early education focused on parent education, subsidized child care, and quality pre-k.

Legislative issues to be discussed include: Supporting children's mental health, strengthening CPS and foster care, pre-k funding and child care quality, healthy moms and babies, and services for kids with disabilities and developmental delays.
Chairman Price will share his insights as Chair of the House Select Committee on Mental Health Chairman, Chair of the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Health and Human Services, and one of the Legislature's leaders on policies regarding children and families.
12:15 - 1:00 pm: Lunch and Release of New Research on Children in the Panhandle by Children at Risk
The lunch session will feature the release of new research from CHILDREN AT RISK on parenting education, quality child care, and public pre-kindergarten in the Panhandle and across Texas.
