Earlier this summer, I had the honor of joining Texans Care for Children as the new CEO. I'm so grateful for this opportunity.
Over the last two decades, I've had the good fortune to work in Texas and across the country to promote policies that support children. In my new role, I'll be drawing on this experience as I work hand-in-hand with Texans Care’s talented staff, committed Board, and all of our diverse and engaged partners. Texans Care's history of leadership and recent accomplishments provide us with a remarkable foundation for future successes.
I hope to meet many of you and learn more about how we can collaborate. I'll be at the upcoming meetings we're convening to connect stakeholders with state agencies, review the legislative session, discuss implementation of bills passed this session, and explore potential interim charges for legislative hearings. The joint meeting of our Juvenile Justice Roundtable and Children's Mental Health Forum is July 23rd and our Texas Early Education Alliance meeting is August 10th.
