The report includes results of a year-long research project by a team of students from the LBJ School of Public Affairs and also represents recommendations resulting from meetings with hundreds of Texans who have worked directly with Texans Care for Children over the past two years. The 30 solutions identified in the report address child well-being in the Lone Star State and:
Whether Texas is being smart with investments in children and the state's future;
How to reduce disparities for groups of children facing disadvantages today; and
Specific recommendations for what Texas can do and what Texans need to know to deliver better outcomes for children.
