We work to make Texas a state that puts kids first.
At Texans Care for Children, we know each child brings promise for our state, yet Texas has a long way to go toward meeting that promise. Making children a statewide priority means getting laws and rules on the books that offer real solutions, so more of our Texas kids are healthy, secure, and thriving. A nonpartisan nonprofit organization for more than 25 years, we are home-grown in Texas, leading the charge to give every Texan a good start in life. Our work makes us the leading policy: voice for Texas children, who need someone to speak on their behalf at the tables of powerful decision-makers; source on Texas children, so Texans know how our state is doing by kids; and network for people who put children first, bringing together the people with a stake in children's lives to identify and help deliver what works.
